DER LANDGARTEN ÜBERLINGEN

THE BEGINNING

In the fall of 2014, I began revitalizing a 3,000-square-meter meadow on Lake Constance, guided by the principles of permaculture and biological mixed cultivation. It brings me great joy to breathe new life into this historic cultural landscape and to share its growing diversity with you.

 The mission

DIVERSITY  BEAUTY  BENEFITS

A garden offers us the perfect way to remind ourselves of our place in the natural world. By consciously observing plant beings and participating in their development from seed to harvest, we can experience the creative power of the universe. When we work with nature, we can discover a deep peace and renewed sense of wonder.

It is a place to pause, to connect, and to remember what truly nourishes us.

Here I share a life close to the earth: gardening, seasons, soil, work, beauty, and the quiet joy of making things with our own hands. It’s about growing food, building with our own strength, listening in nature, and finding meaning in simplicity.

This space is not about perfection or productivity.

It’s about presence. Cycles. Real life.

And about the small, honest moments in which connection returns — to the earth and to ourselves.

A vision
became reality

HEAD . HEART . HANDS

The Landgarten has evolved into a learning and teaching space—one that reconnects us with our roots, our food, and the natural forces that sustain life. Inspired by the principles of permaculture and biological mixed cultivation, it serves as a model for creating fertile, harmonious environments where people, plants, animals, and insects can thrive, using only natural resources.

In 2018, the Landgarten was honored by the 'The gardens of Lake Constance' as part of the 'Natural Gardens' initiative.
